Aprepitant is a neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and surgery. It is usually used in combination with other antiemetics like 5-HT3 antagonists and corticosteroids. It is available orally and intravenously. It is well-tolerated and effective for delayed nausea.
